Frequently asked questions
Sizing, washing, delivery and returns — the questions we are asked most, answered in full.
How do I find the right size?
Measure your natural waist and your fullest hip, then compare both against the size chart on our Size Guide page. If you sit between two sizes, take the larger one for the straight, wide-leg, mom and boyfriend cuts, and the smaller one for the skinny, bootcut and high-waisted cuts, which have more stretch. If you tell us your measurements and the fit you are after, we will tell you which size we would send.
What is the difference between skinny and straight jeans?
A skinny jean is close from the waist all the way to the ankle. A straight jean keeps the same width at the knee as at the ankle, so it does not cling. If you want a close line under boots, take skinny. If you want a clean line that sits over a shoe without hugging, take straight.
What is the difference between bootcut and flare?
Both break at the knee, but by different amounts. A bootcut opens gently — around 5 cm across the hem — so it sits over a boot or a low heel. A flare opens fully, around 10 cm, and is designed to be worn with a heel. Bootcut is the quieter of the two; flare is the one that changes the line of the leg.
Do your jeans come in different leg lengths?
Yes. Every cut is offered in three inside-leg lengths — 28 in, 30 in and 32 in — so you can match the length to your height rather than to the model’s. The cropped mom and high-waisted cuts are made to a 26 in inseam by design.
How should I wash my jeans to keep the colour?
Wash cold, inside out, with like colours, and use a short cycle. Detergent, not fabric softener. Line dry where you can — the heat of a tumble dryer is what dulls indigo. For raw and dark indigo washes, wash as little as you reasonably can; spot-clean between washes.
Will my jeans stretch out with wear?
Denim relaxes with body heat, so expect a small amount of give through the knee and seat over a day’s wear. Ours are cut with that in mind, so a jean that feels firm in the shop is the one that fits by the afternoon. Washing returns it to its cut size.
What is your returns policy?
You can return any unworn pair within 30 days of delivery for a refund or an exchange, with the tags still attached. Start a return by emailing us with your order number and we will send you the return instructions. Faulty items are covered separately — contact us and we will put it right.
How long does delivery take?
UK orders are dispatched within one working day and normally arrive in 2–4 working days. You will receive a tracking link as soon as the parcel leaves us. If you need a pair for a specific date, tell us when you order and we will confirm before dispatch.
Do you ship outside the UK?
We ship across the UK as standard. For deliveries to the Republic of Ireland and mainland Europe, email us before ordering with your address and we will confirm the shipping cost and the likely delivery window — we would rather quote you accurately than guess.
How do I know a jean will suit my body type?
Start from the cut rather than the label. If you carry weight through the thigh, straight, wide-leg and flare even the line. If you are petite, cropped mom and high-waisted cuts avoid the pooling that makes a leg look shorter. If you are tall, take the 32 in inseam. Our Size Guide page sets this out cut by cut, and we answer sizing emails personally.

Ask before you order
A sizing question costs you one email and saves a return. Tell us your measurements and the cut, and we will answer with the size we would send.
